Early Intervention & In-Clinic Therapy

Building strong foundations for school, home, and community life.

Early intervention is key to helping children gain the skills they need to thrive at home, in school, and in their communities. Our in-clinic therapy programs are tailored to each child’s developmental needs, focusing on communication, social interaction, play, and daily living skills. Therapy hours may be part-time or full-time, depending on what our clinical team identifies as medically necessary.

Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluations (CMDE)

A clear, compassionate first step toward understanding your child’s needs.

Before beginning EIDBI therapy, many children need a Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluation (CMDE). This evaluation is conducted by our licensed mental health professionals and provides:

  • A thorough assessment of your child’s development and behavior
  • Determination of eligibility for autism-related services
  • A clear, individualized understanding of your child’s strengths and support needs

Our team is committed to delivering CMDEs that are accurate, compassionate, and timely, giving families confidence as they begin their child’s care journey.

Family Training

Empowering parents and caregivers with tools for everyday success.

We believe families are at the heart of every child’s progress. Research shows children make the greatest gains when their families are active partners in therapy. That’s why family training is an essential part of our services.

Our programs include:

  • Hands-on skill-building for parents and caregivers
  • Opportunities for sibling involvement
  • Practical strategies to support development at home and in the community
  • Ongoing guidance and encouragement from our clinical team

Through family training, we empower caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to help their child thrive.

Insurance & Coverage FAQs

We know insurance can feel overwhelming, so here are clear answers to the questions we hear most often — to help you feel confident and supported from the very start.

  • Which insurance providers do you accept?

We are in-network with BlueCross BlueShield, HealthPartners, Hennepin Health, Medica, Medicaid, PrimeWest, South Country Health Alliance, UCare, and UnitedHealthcare.

  • What if my insurance provider isn’t listed?

Please reach out to us. In some cases, we may be able to work with out-of-network benefits or guide you toward funding options such as Minnesota’s EIDBI program.

  • Are your services covered under EIDBI?

Yes. The Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) benefit is a Minnesota program that covers medically necessary ABA therapy for children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions.

  • Will you help me verify my insurance benefits?

Absolutely. Our team will contact your insurance provider, verify coverage, and walk you through any costs or authorizations before therapy begins.

  • Do I need a referral to start services?

In most cases, yes. Many insurance providers require a referral, diagnostic evaluation, or CMDE (Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluation) before therapy can begin. We’ll guide you through these steps to make the process as smooth as possible.

  • What costs should I expect?

Coverage varies by plan, but many families pay little to no out-of-pocket costs for ABA therapy under EIDBI or through their insurance provider. We’ll provide a clear explanation of any co-pays, deductibles, or fees up front.
